Rainbow warriors Tactical squad WIP

Hi guys, well I've begun painting my rainbow warriors. well when i say painting i really mean work has begun.
I've decided to go with the new 32mm round bases as I've a funny feeling all space marine models will now come on these..
Anyway there are 4 space marines with bolters and one with a multi melta.
i look forward to getting into these over the next week!

Forge World Air Defence Unboxing And First Look.

Forge World Air Defence Platform Unboxing and first look.

So i had a nice surprise waiting for me on my porch today when i returned from work, a parcel which has that obvious "Forge World" look about it! Lets see whats inside!

jack in the box?

Opening the box brings us the usual stuff and is that a new catalogue i spy for 2013?

 Haha, no its not a new catalogue, its just the rear of last years. (when will we see a new catalogue?) As you can see, in the box we get, a catalogue, the instruction sheet, and 2 bags of resin crack.

radar dish parts

 In the first bag theres the parts for the radar dish section itself, which comprises of the main section with a few screens, buttons and knobs on, the dish itself in a couple of parts, and the scanner.

stand/platform parts

The second bag contains the parts needed to make the platform section of the kit. I did not realise the legs would be 2 pieces, i thought that would be the stand and legs only but you get little hinges to go in between. awesome.


In this whole kit i dont think theres a signle major flaw so i wont be calling them to complain this time!

I shall update this in a couple of days when i start to assemble the kit!

SciFiWargaming, My Week and I. Episode: 1

Episode: 1

Monday:
 all i managed to do was a little more on my lysander model, as i paint in the conservatory its damn cold this time of year and the washes take forever and a year to dry, so theres not a lot of prgress to show there,

Tuesday:
Usual club night, managed to get in a few rounds of space hulk against Si (he might know who he is!) as usual he wiped the floor with me, i think i only managed to win one game out of the 4! Theres rumours of a babab war campaign or something similair brewing at the club, it will be interesting to see how that goes.

Wednesday:
Well all I managed to do was finally finish that Lysander model!

Next up will be a forge world air defence platform

Thursday:
All I did was tidy some blog stuff up then played a load of rocksmith! If you play guitar I really reccomend it for fun!

Friday:
Well friday was quite exciting, i felt super tired all day, (maybe due to the end of a full week of work for the first time this year and then the other half had her family over for tea and a game of Talisman! its super fun and i highly reccomend it!

Saturday:
Saturday was awesome! started out by going into town to find a hidden copy of X-wing by FFG and i was lucky enough to find one! ended up playing this from about 8:30pm till 1 in the morning! much fun was had by everyone! i REALLY recommend this game, its amazing! all i want now is the Millenium falcon expansion and a load more ships!

Sunday:
  Typical lazy sunday for us here at home although in the evening we saw the most Excellent Ripper street thats showing on BBC 1 at the moment. its about police in london following in the wake of Jack tghe Ripper and his antics. (hence the name) If you havnt seen it yet you REALLY must, catch it on the Iplayer or something and i am sure you wont regret it!

Rainbow Warriors - Legio Spectra Captain Lysander Finished!

 Hi all, so i finally finished my Captain lysander for my Rainbow warriors space marines army! Phew!

Ive taken a few pictures for you to peruse. i Really cant wait to try this guy out on the tabletop!

 Next up is a Forge World Air defence platform! Although it still hasnt arrived haha.
