Forge world Imperial armour 11, doom of Mymeara
so was this the last of the books where FW wasn't doing Heresy up the wazoo? i can't say i remember any more really after this.
i always remember liking the colour scheme they had gone with for Craftworld Mymeara. I really liked the Teal.
I think this was for when the Phantom titan was released. I went to the forge world open day around the time of release and saw the diorama in the flesh. it really did look spectacular!
Maybe Forge world should give these guys a little more love? what do you guys think?
The Imperial ice world of Betalis III is under attack from the combined might of three massive Eldar war hosts. Their motivation for attacking this seemingly insignificant planet is unknown, but General Myndoras Odon of the Cadian 6th Armoured Regiment is intent on bringing about the total destruction of these Eldar invaders. Wielding the might of three Imperial Guard regiments and joined by the savage strength of Bran Redmaw’s Great Company and the colossal power of Titans from the Legio Gryphonicus, the Eldar of Craftworld Mymeara, Craftworld Alaitoc and their Corsair allies may soon regret attacking one of the Emperor’s worlds.
Imperial Armour Volume 11: The Doom of Mymeara provides a detailed account of the Eldar invasion, as well as background and rules for its protagonists, the Eldar of Craftworlds Mymeara and Alaitoc, their Corsair kin and the forces of the Imperium. Also included are profiles for new special characters, machines of war, and a new Eldar Warrior Aspect squad, the Shadow Spectres.
This 224-page full colour hardback book, written by Talima Fox, is packed with vehicle and infantry profiles, three Apocalypse datasheets, a campaign section and an Eldar Corsair army list. In addition the book also contains a detailed background and technical section covering the existing Forge World Eldar range. An errata is available to download here.

This is the first imperial armour I bought, and worth every penny. However, I hope FW updates the eldar corsair army list for 7th edition really soon. (Like adjusting point costs and adding battle trance to all corsairs...).
ReplyDeleteAfter this vame Fall of Orpheus, the last 'proper' IA book that was story driven.
ReplyDeleteIA11, despite being awesome, has a bit of a sad story behind it. Forge World sculpted a lot more models for this book. There were to be Space Wolves HQ's special characters and more corsair characters. But rumours had it that GW proper halted the release of those to focus on Horus Heresy.
During a Forge World open day, there were actually a lot more models for this release to be seen in the cabinets. Probably floating somewhere on the internet, still. Shame, because IA11 has so much potential.
If you want to see a pic of the Space Wolf HQ, here is a link to Bran Redmaw's model.
